The challenge
The credit risk department of a major New England bank needed better tools to manage the information behind its lending decisions: property appraisals and environmental reports, commercial field exams, and the performance of specialized loans in collections and recovery.
That information was difficult to order, track and report on consistently. The department needed applications built around how its analysts actually work.
What we did
SunAge worked alongside the bank’s technology team to:
- Shape the architecture at the whiteboard, working through requirements and design for each new application with technical and business stakeholders.
- Design and build three ASP.NET applications in C# and JavaScript:
- Real estate risk services: ordering and viewing appraisal, environmental and property information.
- Field exam tracking: ordering and viewing commercial field exams, along with expenses, vendors and examiners.
- Managed asset reporting: key financial data and metrics for specialized lending, including collections and recoveries.
The outcome
- Three dedicated applications giving credit risk staff one place for each critical workflow.
- Consistent ordering and tracking of appraisals, environmental reports and field exams.
- Clear reporting on managed assets, supporting better-informed decisions on collections and recoveries.
